Do YOU Pay More Than YOUR Fair Share of Florida Property Taxes?
Nearly 250 years ago, there was a King who wanted
someone else to pay for his war. So he sent a collector across the pond
to tax the colonists. Though they said "no," the King persisted. And, he
had the power to take their property with impunity. In protest, the colonists
started a war of their own, fighting with pitchforks for their rights,
key among them - fair taxation.
The result was a new country with no King! One where anyone had
the right to own property, and taxes had to be fair. This new
nation was based on the enduring right to a meaningful
remedy against illegal taxes.
In Florida, every taxpayer’s remedy is the Value Adjustment
Board.

VAB WATCH
January 2010 DUVAL:
PAO document contradicts DOR PTO Bulletin 09-29. In some
instances, PAO allegedly is refusing to provide its evidence to a
petitioner. POLK: Hearings
conducted behind locked doors. At least
one magistrate is not applying the standards adopted in House Bill
521 (2009 Legislation). Opening Statement
is NOT a DOR document, and does NOT include all material parts of
section 193.011, Fla. Stat. CHARLOTTE:
Hearing Notices are NOT on DOR forms and provide NO contact
information. VAB appears to have adopted a final hearing deadline
in contradiction with state standards. HILLSBOROUGH: Opening statement is NOT a DOR document.
Magistrates are NOT assigned through a blind, random selection
protocol. Check back here often to
follow VAB compliance with governing state laws. |

Your Right To Fight - Peacefully!
NOW,
nearly 250 years later,
pitchforks
are NOT needed to ensure fair taxation.
VAB petitions
are!
Many hidden
mistakes are found in real and tangible property government assessments. Administrative appeals help
identify and correct these errors -
with the outcome being lower property taxes.
Commercial Property Services is a leading
authority on Florida administrative appeals and Value Adjustment Boards.
CPS files petitions to appeal property taxes, on contingency, because we
believe that everyone should pay their fair share.
But, never more!
